A pack of two 139w fine polymer wool filter pads to suit the Aqua One Ocellaris 1400 and Ocellaris 1400UV external filters.

The 139w wool pad should be changed every four to six weeks for a new pad. The fine Polymer wool material used is not washable and should be thrown away after a single period of use

Function

The Aqua One 139w Polymer wool filter pad is designed solely to fit the Ocellaris 1400 and 1400UV external canister filter. The 139w acts as the final stage in the filtration process and removes and fine remaining particles of waste by trapping them between the fine fibres.

Effect on Flow Rate

Because the 139w is constructed from such fine polymer fibres it will reduce the flow rate of your Ocellaris 1400 or 1400UV when blocked and dirty. Reduced filter flow rate can be catastrophic for aquarium water quality. The solution is thankfully simple – just replace the 139w as required.

Lifespan

The 139w is a ‘one-shot’ disposable polymer filter pad and should be discarded every four to six weeks. The polymer fibres compress and make effective rinsing impossible. Don’t attempt to wash the 139w out as this will only reduce the flowrate and lifespan of your Ocellaris 1400 or 1400UV

Pack size.

Two 139w are provided per pack. Making a pack last between two and three months. Heavily stocked aquariums may shorten this life span – do what is required to keep you Aqua One Ocellaris 1400 or 1400UV filtering at a good pace.
