The filters are designed to work with solids blocking or solids handling pumps.

Mechanical & Biological Filtration Operations

1. With the filter connected to the pump water enters the unit through a water inlet
2. It then passes through the mechanical filtration stage, consisting of foam filters that intercept and trap dirt and debris.
3. Next, water enters a biological filtration chamber (except for the 700 model) where it comes into contact with Biospheres bio media which harbour beneficial bacteria that keeps the water healthy.
4. Dirt-free water then passes along an integrated UV-C lamp, where it is exposed to ultraviolet rays that inhibit the growth of single-celled algae organisms.
5. Filtered water finally returns to the pond.

Revolutionary Backwash Cleaning System

Pressure-Flo features a revolutionary Backwash-Cleaning System that completely cleans the only one of its kind. Backwash cleaning can easily and comfortably be done in a few minutes without opening the lid. This feature ensures that the filter perfoms at optimal levels for many days and prolons the time between fill maintenance sessions. An easy-view cleaning indicator signals when it's time to perform backwash cleaning.

1. External cleaning handles - no need to open filter lid
2. Two cleaning blades remove debris from filter foam
3. Debris is expelled, filter foam is cleaned
